Similar to these cases, have received calls from unknown numbers.
asking me to attend roadshow of some electronics firm.
all spoken in mandarin.
3 calls received in total. as i am the point of contact for my mum (and her medical appointments), i usually will answer calls from unknown numbers....
first call, ask to attend roadshow.
2nd call, to confirmed attendance to roadshow.
3rd call, to say i've won some 560k Hongkong dollars. 3rd prize.
saying although i did not attend the roadshow, everyone who had been contacted will be entitled to have a chance in the lucky draw.
i did not divulge any personal data, and asked if i can have an online platform or through email to fill up the form for claiming the prize money.
long story short, do not divulge any personal data or information.
asked for their contact number, email address, company name and address, and company website.... if it's available.....also, if they could conduct a lucky draw with HK560k hkd, they would have an address.
