Phishing Scam Impersonation Scam
2 weeks ago, A friend of mine whom 8 had not seen for 4 years contacted me thru fb messenger, informing me that she had change her contact no. And ask for mine. I did not suspect anything in the beginning. I asked her how had she been, then she suddenly popped out on shopee 6th year special campaign and she will sent me an sms to take part in the contest. For a sec, i paused and ask her if this is a spam. She answer no. She then generate an otp and asked me to reveal to her. I did give her the OTP, then i asked her where she working now. She didn't answer. So i tried to get her on the line but no answer. For some reason, i just felt that something was very wrong. So, I persisted and asked her where she was working now.

She still didn't answer my question but she went on telling me that she would check what i won from the Shopee lucky draw. She went on congratulate me that i have won $1000 on Shopee. At this point, I was sure that my friend's fb acct had been compromised.

So, I asked her what to do next. She asked me for my debit and credit card. I also persistent on asking her where she is working now. Still she didn't reply me. I told 'HER' that i have no cards as i prefer using cash. 'friend' ask me if can do card transfer or online banking , i replied, i don't keep money in bank as i keep money at home. 'she' gave me a thumbs up emoji. So i ask 'her' why don't she help me to transfer to her acct and pass me the money when we meetup since we are very good friends.
'she' gave me a thumbs up emoji again.

And i still asked her where she was working. Thereafter, she blocked me.
