Online Travel Vacation Scam
My mom came across a Singbrother Travel advertisement and privately messaged the business on Facebook on May 30th. She provided her WhatsApp details, and the scammer contacted her on the same day. The scammer asked for the phone model she was using and provided her with a link to download an app. They also provided instructions on adjusting her phone settings to enable the app.
On May 31st, at 9 am, my mom realised that her POSB bank account was empty. The scammer had transferred over $17,000 to another POSB account on May 30th.
